Library Services for Teenagers
The Young Adult section of the library holds an extensive range of fiction titles which are specifically chosen for teenage readers.
The school curriculum is now so full and demanding that many teenagers are saying that they have no time for pleasure reading yet the past 10 years has seen a mini revolution in terms of the publication of young adult literature. Many teenagers like books that reflect the teen years or have teenage protagonists. There are many excellent authors writing for teenage audiences such as Tim Bowler, Kevin Brooks, Anne Cassidy, Claire Hennessy, Mary Hooper, Oisin McGann, Malorie Blackman and Kate Thompson to name but a few. Please feel free to browse our catalogue and also throughout the website; in particular the sub-links of the Teenzone Section.
