Temporary closure of Public Offices

SLIGO COUNTY LIBRARY BRANCHES, MUSEUM AND LOCAL STUDIES ROOM WILL BE CLOSED FROM THE 13TH MARCH TO THE 18TH MAY, BOTH DATES INCLUSIVE, AS PART OF THE COVID-19 NATIONAL EMERGENCY. WE REGRET ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.

Having regard to the issues presented by the current emergency, Sligo County Council is introducing measures to safeguard the health and well-being of its customers and staff and to help limit the spread of the Covid-19.

Accordingly, all public buildings are being closed to the public from close of business Friday 13th March until at least 18th May. All offices will close including the main offices at County and City Hall, Area offices in Ballymote, Tubbercurry and Enniscrone, Public Libraries and Galleries, Roads Offices in Market Yard and Highmarket House Sligo, Roads and Fire Services admin offices at St Anne’s Place, Sligo, Sligo Sports Centre Cleveragh and Waterpoint, Enniscrone.

The Council sincerely regrets and apologises to our customers and citizens for this action which has been necessitated by the unprecedented global public health risk. You will appreciate that this exceptional measure is necessary in the public interest and is in line with the Chief Medical Officer’s desire to flatten the Covid-19 curve.
