About the Creative Ireland Programme
The Creative Ireland Programme is an all-of-government initiative committed to enhancing access to, engagement with, and enjoyment of Ireland’s culture and creativity.
The vision of the Creative Ireland Programme 2023-2027 is to mainstream creativity in the life of the nation so that individually and collectively, in our personal lives and in our institutions, we can realise of full potential thereby promoting individual, community and national wellbeing.
The Creative Ireland Programme will prioritise its work around five aspects for the period 2023-2027:
- Creative Youth
- Creative Communities
- Creative Industries
- Creative Health and Wellbeing
- Creative Climate Action and Sustainability
The opportunity embraced within the Sligo Culture and Creativity Strategy 2023 – 2027 is to support people’s participation, inclusion, and expression within communities, and further strengthen local creative economies.
Creative Sligo Open Call Funding 2023
Sligo County Council’s Culture and Creativity Strategy 2023-2027 has as its central policy objective the wish to enable creativity in every community in County Sligo. The Creative Sligo Open Call is an opportunity for the cultural sector, community groups, artists and creatives to apply for funding in order to work collaboratively with communities, places of interest and latest technologies in realising the vision of Creative Ireland, in 2023.
Funding applications may be submitted to support the following Culture and Creativity themes:
- Creative Place
- Creative Economy
- Creative Communities
- Climate Biodiversity and Environment
- Creative Youth

The Creative Sligo Open Call is an opportunity for the cultural sector, community groups, artists and creatives to apply for funding in order to work collaboratively with communities, places of interest and latest technologies in realising the vision of Creative Ireland, in 2021.
