Do you have a memory you’d love to capture in words?
Join us at Sligo Library for a warm and welcoming series of creative writing workshops, where we’ll explore cherished moments and stories from times gone by.
No prior writing experience is needed — just bring your memories and an open mind. These workshops are fun, interactive, and encouraging, designed to help you discover your voice and enjoy the process of storytelling through prose and poetry.

Maeve McKenna is a poet and creative writing facilitator living in Sligo. Her work has been published widely. She has an MA in Poetry from Queen’s University, Belfast and is the author of two pamphlets, A Dedication to Drowning and Body as a Home for this Darkness.
This workshop is supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.
