Creative Ireland Sligo Open Call 2027

Applications are now invited for the Creative Ireland Sligo Open Call 2027.

The Creative Ireland Programme is a national initiative that supports people and communities to explore, develop and celebrate creativity. In County Sligo, the programme is guided by the Sligo Culture and Creativity Strategy 2023-2027, which supports community groups, organisations, artists and creative practitioners to collaborate on projects that strengthen communities and increase participation in culture, creativity and heritage.

 

What Kind of Projects Are We Looking For?

Projects should align with one or more of the following strategic priorities:

  • Creative Place
  • Creative Economy
  • Creative Communities
  • Climate, Biodiversity & Environment
  • Creative Youth

Projects should take place between January and October 2027.

Funding Available

Projects are 100% funded through the Creative Ireland Programme.

  • Category A: €500 – €1,000
  • Category B: €1,001 – €5,000
  • Category C: €5,001 – €10,000

Most funding awards are expected to be in Categories A and B.

 

What Cannot Be Funded

  • Festivals or festival programming.
  • Public art commissions, monuments or murals.
  • Equipment purchases.
  • Activities already funded through another source.
  • Multi-annual funding commitments.

How to Apply

Applications for the Creative Ireland Sligo Open Call 2027 will be accepted from Monday, 5 October 2026 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.

Applications must be submitted online through Sligo County Council’s Grant Portal:

Creative Sligo Open Call Funding 2026

Sligo County Council’s Culture and Creativity Strategy 2023-2027 has as its central policy objective the wish to enable creativity in every community in County Sligo.

The Creative Sligo Open Call is an opportunity for the cultural sector, community groups, artists and creatives to apply for funding in order to work collaboratively with communities, places of interest and latest technologies in realising the vision of Creative Ireland, in 2026.

Closing Date for applications is: 4pm on Friday, 28th November 2025.
