SLIGO COUNTY LIBRARIES – IRELAND READS EVENTS

On February 25th we’re inviting people of all ages to get reading.

One minute, ten minutes, an hour, or more – it doesn’t matter how long you read for or what you read!

Pledge a read at https://www.irelandreads.ie/

Why? Because taking some time for yourself to relax and do the things you enjoy (like reading) is important to help look after your mental wellbeing.

Take the pledge below and see how many minutes people all over Ireland will be reading for on February 25th.

Ireland Reads is a is an initiative of the government of Ireland, funded by Healthy Ireland and supported by public libraries, and many organisations that promote literacy and the arts.

Gerry Daly Illustration Workshop & Author Reading
Spark your creativity with author and illustrator Gerry Daly as he demonstrates the process he used to illustrate his and Erika McGann’s book Where are you, Puffling?

Inspired by nature and the world around us, Gerry creates a fun and interactive story experience and provides easy to follow illustration instruction so children get to recreate his illustrations while learning new techniques.

The event will also include an exclusive author reading from his new book Finn’s First Song: a Whaley Big Adventure.

This workshop is perfect for our younger readers.
